Suicide Prevention Coalition

The Clermont County Suicide Prevention Coalition is actively involved in providing the community with education, support, and connection to resources with the hope of preventing suicide. For more information on the Suicide Prevention Coalition, please contact Marcie Keith at mkeith@ccmhrb.org or (513) 732-5400.

What We Do

The Clermont County Suicide Prevention Coalition is a volunteer community-based group that works to promote suicide prevention activities throughout the County and bring about changes in attitudes and perceptions surrounding suicide and its connection with mental health concerns.

The vision of the Coalition is threefold:

  1. Increase community awareness of the prevalence of suicide, prevention strategies and available resources.
  2. Improve access to intervention and treatment services.
  3. Remove the stigma attached to suicide and mental health disorders.

The Coalition received grant funding from the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation in 2020 to complete a community readiness assessment to determine the goals for the Coalition.

The current goals of the Coalition can be found here.

Who We Are

The Clermont County Suicide Prevention Coalition is made up of individuals representing a variety of community interests, including county schools, law enforcement, general healthcare, local government officials, businesses, social services agencies, faith-based entities, survivors of suicide, prevention specialists, and mental health and substance use disorder treatment specialists.

The Clermont County Suicide Prevention Coalition is appreciative of all our volunteers! The Coalition needs people like you that are interested in increasing community awareness of suicide.

There are many ways you can help:

  • Host a Suicide Prevention Training
  • Invite the Coalition to participate in a community event
  • Volunteer to assist with Community Education Events
  • If you would like to join the Coalition or host a training, please call (513) 732-5400 for more information.
